Alexander Masters is an author and screenwriter who lives in Cambridge. Masters attended St Edmund's College in Cambridge where he studied maths and worked as an assistant at a hostel for the homeless in Cambridge. Masters is probably best known for writing and illustrating Stuart: A Life Backwards, the biography of Stuart Shorter. It explores how a young boy who was disabled from birth, became mentally unstable and turned to a criminal and violent life, living homeless on the streets of Cambridge.
