Ben Whishaw

Ben Whishaw is an English actor for stage, screen and TV. Whishaw was born and grew up in Bedfordshire. He attended a youth theatre group at Queen Mother Theatre in Hitchin, Herts and later attended Samuel Whitbread Community College in Bedfordshire. Whishaw graduated from RADA in 2004 and soon landed the role of Hamlet in Trevor Nunn’s 2004 production which opened to rave reviews with critics hailing Whishaw as the next Laurence Olivier. Whishaw’s film and TV credits include Layer Cake, My Brother Tom and Criminal Justice for which he was nominated for a BAFTA for best actor in 2008. At the 2007 BAFTA awards Whishaw was nominated for the prestigious rising star award.
