Charlotte Rampling is a British model turned actress who was born in Sturmer, Essex and attended the prestigious St. Hilda's School in Bushey, Hertfordshire. Rampling is best known for her roles in The Night Porter where she played opposite Dirk Bogarde, co-starring with Sean Connery in Zardoz and alongside Woody Allen in his Stardust Memories. Rampling regularly appears in magazine polls as one of the most beautiful people in the world. She was appointed O.B.E. (Officer of the order of the British Empire) by the Queen in 2000.
