David Tomblin is BAFTA award winning 1st Assistant Director, Director and Producer for film and television who was born across the road from Borehamwood Studios in Hertfordshire. He begun his career at the young age of 14 before embarking on National Service. Widely considered the finest 1st assistant director in the World, in 2003 was awarded the Michael Balcon award by BAFTA for his outstanding British contribution to cinema. Tomblin's most notable success came from co-creating The Prisoner and his work on Gandhi, Out of Africa, Braveheart, Superman and Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.
