Irvin Kershner is an American film director and occasional actor and is a graduate of Cambridge University. Kershner began his career producing American documentaries and then turned his talents to television, producing a series of documentaries called Confidential File. Kershner is best known for his directorial accomplishments on Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back, Never Say Never Again and RoboCop2.
