Sir Malcolm Bradbury CBE was a British writer and academic. Bradbury studies at the University of East Anglia, Norfolk. Bradbury became a crucial figure in the elevation of the UEA and its reputation, founding the creative writing course in 1970 and presiding over it until he retired to devote himself to full time writing in 1995. He made the city of Norwich his home and remained at its heart until his death in 2000. Bradbury is best known for his writing credits on Cold Comfort Farm, Porterhouse Blue and The History Man. He was awarded CBE before being knighted in the 2000 millennium honours list for his services to Literature.
