Paul Greengrass

Paul Greengrass is a writer, director and documentarian for motion pictures for the screen and TV. Greengrass was educated at Queens' College in Cambridge and now lives on the Suffolk coast. His filmmaking career started early, making a series of animated horror films before joining Granada Television School where he spent the first ten years of his career travelling global hot spots for the hard-hitting documentary series World in Action. Greengrass is known best for his eagerness to tackle difficult subjects, for which he has received considerable acclaim. During his filmmaking career, Greengrass has depicted the 1971 bloody sunday shootings in Northern Ireland in Bloody Sunday and directed United 93 showing the compelling reconstruction of the hijacking of United Airlines Flight 93. He went on to win the BAFTA award for best director for United 93. Greengrass joined the Bourne franchise directing The Bourne Supremacy and later returned to director The Bourne Ultimatum which earned him an Oscar nomination for achievement in directing. It is clear that Greengrass has, and will continue to, write and direct influential films and documentaries for the screen and TV.
