Stephen Fry is a writer, actor, filmmaker and comedian for motion pictures for the screen and TV. Fry grew up in Norfolk and now divides his time between his London and Norfolk residences. He was educated at Norfolk College of Arts and Technology, Norwich City College and Queens' College in Cambridge. Fry is possibly Norfolk's number one ambassador, often declaring his love of Norfolk in fact he still lives in the house he brought on the back of rewriting the script for Me and My Girl. Whilst at Cambridge, Fry met his comedy partner Hugh Laurie which saw the creative partnership co-write and co-star in A Bit of Fry and Laurie and Jeeves and Wooster. Critical acclaim was followed by popular appeal with a move to television where Fry is probably best known for his roles in Blackadder II and QI but more recently as Peter Kingdom in Kingdom which is set in the fictional Norfolk town of Market Shipborough. Fry has graced the big screen for many motion pictures including Wilde which earned him a golden globe nomination for best performance by an actor, Gosford Park, V for Vendetta and Bright Young Things which Fry directed and wrote the screenplay.
