Tom Hollander is an award winning English actor who was born in Bristol, raised in Oxford and went on to read English at Selwyn College in Cambridge. It was whilst in Cambridge that Hollander participated in theatre activities and Sam Mendes directed him in several critically acclaimed plays. Hollander is probably best known for his performance as Culter Beckett in Pirates of the Caribbean and as Anthony Meredith in Gosford Park for which he won the Screen Actors Guild Award for best actor.
