The attractive Bayford village has previously won 'best kept village' awards and is well known for being beautifully kept and maintained. The popular Baker Arms serves home cooked foods and real ales, and the village holds a Garden Open Day every two years at which point many of the houses open their gardens to the public. The quaint church of St Mary is located on the northern side of the village. Bayford is about three miles south of the historic market town of Hertford.
