Beechwood Park School, a Tudor mansion, is not open to the public but can be seen by walkers along the Hertfordshire Way. Located in the pretty village of Markyate the school is close to the vibrant market town of Harpenden and the new town of Luton. Markyate prospered in the 18th century by serving the needs of travellers passing through. Nowadays it serves the local community and is surrounded by beautiful Hertfordshire countryside with numerous public footpaths given its location on the edge of the National Trust’s Ashridge Estate.
