The Benington Lordship Gardens are spread over seven acres and situated four miles east of Stevenage in the picturesque village of Bennington. Visitors of all ages will enjoy the peaceful location. The gardens are a haven for wildlife which offers beautiful views of the surrounding Hertfordshire countryside. Highlights include a Victorian folly, a kitchen garden, contemporary sculptures, a carp pond, wildlife areas, the rose gardens and a children's animal trail. The gardens surround a fine Georgian manor house with the remains of a Norman Castle and moat. The house is not open to the public.
