The retailer Birtchnells has served Berkhamsted and surrounding area with menswear hire for over 50 years.  They are located in an historic building on the High Street which still retains many of the original facades of old residential houses and shops above modern shop fronts. Most are Victorian but some are older.  Berkhamsted is well worth a visit for its canals, unusual shops, rich history and the beautiful Art Deco Rex Cinema.  It also hosts the annual Graham Greene Festival to celebrate their literary heritage.
