Britannia Pier is a traditional pleasure pier with a selection of amusement arcades, a range of food outlets, two child-friendly bars and a popular theatre where they hold live entertainment events. It is the 2nd of Great Yarmouth’s piers with the original opening in 1858 at 700ft in length. By the early 20th century the pier had a 2,000 seat pavilion given the town’s prosperous tourism trade. What visitors can now see is the 4th pavilion, which opened in 1958, following a series of fires which devastated the previous pavilions.
