The town of Broxbourne is just south of Hoddesdon. There are a number of attractions including the Priest's House, which is a 17th century two storey dwelling, and the Monson Almshouses which were built of red brick in 1728. Both attractions are located in High Road part of which dates from the 16th century. Broxbourne is situated close to the River Lee & Lee Navigation canal where narrow boats can be hired from the Lee Valley Boat Centre located in the 10,000 acre Lee Valley Park. Finally in Broxbourne Wood, there is the popular family run Paradise Wildlife Park.
