Printer friendly version >

Royal Connaught Park or Bushey Campus as it was known prior to development was the former United States International University base in Europe. It has since been developed for housing. Bushey is a residential town with a good selection of restaurants and pubs. St James’ church is a reminder of how Bushey would have felt when it was a village. Nearby is the clubhouse of Bushey Golf and Country Club with its fairways offering attractive views from the High Street.  The Forties Experience is nearby where you can travel back in time and visit the 1940s House, sit in the Anderson Shelter and experience the London Blitz.  Aldenham Country Park, a 175 acre woodland and parkland park set around a large reservoir is 2 miles from Bushey. Attractions include Winnie-the-Pooh’s 100 Aker Wood, lakeside and nature trails, a children’s adventure playground and water based sports.
