Dunwich Heath is a beautiful coastal lowland heath with sandy cliffs and beach, rich in wildlife, offering tranquillity and excellent views. Owned by the National Trust Dunwich is a remote and beautiful stretch of Suffolk coastline. There are heathland and shore-side walks, shady woods and magnificent flowering heather. Dunwich is home to rare wildlife, such as the Dartford Warbler and Ant-lion. There are stunning views of the heath, good food, tea and gifts at the old Coastguard Cottages. Kite-flying restricted to beach only. Parking restrictions may operate at times of extreme fire risk. Cycling and horse riding on bridleways only.
