Elveden Hall

Printer friendly version >

The Elveden Estate is nearly 22,500 acres encompassing forest, heath and farmland. It has been owned by the Earls of Iveagh since 1894 when it was bought from the Executors of the late Maharajah Duleep Singh. The forestry covers 4,000 acres of the estate and Elveden takes a pride in its arable farm and conservation activities, particularly with regard to the stone curlew. Whilst the house is not open to the public, the nearby Estate shop offers an array of locally sourced goods. There is an AA* rosette restaurant and a number of courtyard shops, a horse court; the popular Centre Parcs resort is nearby.
