The award-winning Finchingfield village has been described as "the most photographed village in England” and views of the green, pond, cottages and church are often found on calendars, chocolate boxes, tea towels, postcards and jigsaws. As visitors stroll up to St John the Baptist Church from the green they pass under the arches of The Guildhall, one of Finchingfield's oldest buildings and now home to a library and small museum. There is also a windmill which is an example of the early "post mill" type of windmill. There is a good choice of eating establishments.
