The small village of Green End Park is near Ware, an attractive town situated on the navigable River Lee and Lee Navigation canal. There is a selection of shops and boutiques in Ware with a market every Tuesday. Ware has many historic buildings including 18th century gazebos, The Priory founded in 1338 and St Mary's Church re-built in 1380 along with Scott's Grotto, a house made of shells.
