Gresham School is not open to the public. However the nearby picturesque town of Holt is well worth a visit. The quaint lanes and yards are stocked with bookshops, galleries, antique and bric-a-brac shops; it is particularly festive at Christmas. There are a number of activities for families. The North Norfolk steam railway connects Holt with the seaside resort of Sheringham, Holt Country Park has more than 100 acres of woodland, with parking, picnic areas, nature trails and an adventure playground, and the idyllic countryside is perfect for exploring either on foot or by bicycle.
