This is a famous landmark in the town and appeared as Walmington-on-Sea Town Hall in the TV series Dad's Army. The building now houses the Dad's Army Museum and Thetford’s art gallery. The Museum includes a mock up of Cpt Mainwaring's office, photos of filming and memorabilia as well as a display about Thetford's real Home Guard.
