Heydon Hall grounds are open to walkers all year round and the Hall can be seen from some of the footpaths. Famed for being owned in 1640 by the roundhead Erasmus Earle who was a Parliamentary lawyer and became Sergeant-at-Law to Oliver Cromwell. The pretty village scene is complete here with green, pavilion, pub, church and a row of historic cottages. The road does not pass through, but ends here taking a step back in time.
