Kings Walden is a very small village/hamlet near Preston 3 miles south of the historic market town of Hitchin. The area is located in beautiful countryside which attracts many ramblers and cyclists, especially in the summer months. With its close proximity to the eastern edge of the Chilterns, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this is one of the highest points of Hertfordshire. The award-winning Red Lion is a 200 year-old Georgian building on the village green in Preston which is well worth a visit. Private properties in the area have been used for filming purposes.
