Letchmore Heath is a pretty village which, due to its proximity to Elstree Film Studios, has been used as a filming location many times. There is a village green, a pond and the pub, The Three Horseshoes. . These are all pretty much unchanged from the shots that you will see in the film Village of the Damned. Nearby you will find Aldenham Church, a beautiful building and unique as parts of it have been built using Hertfordshire Pudding Stone and the lovely Aldenham Country Park with its rare breed animals and Winnie the Pooh Trail-a great place for walking and picnics.
