Little Gaddesden is situated in the Ashridge Estate. The land is owned and managed by the National Trust and is popular amongst film-makers. The village has some lovely period properties including Ashridge House, The Manor House on the Green along with John O’Gaddesden House and Marian House, Little Gaddesden House (Nettleden Road) and the Old Rectory near the village shop. The Ashridge Estate is a 5,000-acre area of open countryside and woodland on the edge of the Chiltern Hills with a wide variety of wildlife. It is therefore the perfect for woodland walks and a variety of recreational activities.
