Little Snoring (airfield)

Printer friendly version >
Little Snoring Airfield was used during World War II largely by RAF Mosquito aircraft. The site is now derelict, apart from local wildlife and is not accessible to the public. The nearby village is approximately 9 miles from the coast, has a pub and post office along with the unusual church of St Andrew with its round detached tower. Nearby Fakenham with its wide range of accommodation, shops and activities is worth a visit. The town is also an ideal base for exploring the North Norfolk countryside, salt marshes and sandy beaches which are all within easy reach.
