The mansion is now the clubhouse of Moor Park Golf Club.  It is here that the infamous Battle of Arnhem was planned [depicted in a  Bridge Too Far] in what is known as the Arnhem Room.  The room is home to the Parachute Regiment's memoribilia, who were much involved in the battle.  Rickmansworth has a rich history and provides a diversion for anyone interested in canals or waterways. They hold an annual canal festival and have strong Quaker links to William Penn who founded the state of Pennsylvania in America. The town hasa good selection of shops and plenty of places to stop for a drink or a meal.
