Whilst not open to the public the nearby city of Norwich is worth a visit and has appeared in a number of productions. With its ancient buildings and city wall, Norwich is the most complete medieval city in Britain. It is dominated by a magnificent cathedral and 12th C castle (now a museum). Visitors can explore the jumble of streets and lanes, lined with half-timbered houses and over 30 medieval churches. Norwich is one of the UK's top five places to shop, with speciality outlets, shopping centres and a large open-air market. There is also vibrant mix of theatres, galleries, museums, pubs, clubs and restaurants.
