Marden Hill is a rural village near Welwyn Garden City. Welwyn Garden City is a fine example of a new town with its tree-lined boulevards and a neo-Georgian town centre offering excellent shopping facilities. The River Lee flows past the south side of the town on its way to Hertford and the town is surrounded by rural countryside. The magnificient Hatfield House Estate is also nearby.
