Radlett is a rather small attractive but affluent town and believed to be one of the most prosperous places in Britain. It is situated on either side of an ancient Roman Road between the heritage City of St Albans and Watford surrounded by countryside with a large selection of footpaths and bridleways. The town centre has local shops, a good choice of restaurants and pubs and the modern Radlett Centre with its 300 seat auditorium offers shows, concerts and other performances. There are many substantial detached houses with large gardens and a few streets with Victorian semi detached and terraced houses.
