Redbourn is a small village is situated in St. Albans district between Harpenden and Hemel Hempstead, and stands alongside the River Ver. The village is situated on the Watling Street that joins St Albans and Dunstable. The name "Redbourn" is derived from the little River Red which still runs across the Common. Redbourn has an 18-hole golf course which welcomes visitors with a comfortable Clubhouse and a large golf shop. It is also home to Hertfordshire’s County Show which takes place annually the last weekend in May.
