Printer friendly version >

The Royal Masonic in Rickmansworth is a day and boarding school which is not open to the public. However visitors can visit the attractive market town of Rickmansworth with its fine conservation area, including St. Mary´s Church with its 17th century tower and Basing House with its connections to William Penn, the famous Quaker statesmen and founder of the state of Pennsylvania. There is also a popular theatre (Watersmeet) and shopping area, and the Rickmansworth Aquadrome offers water-based activities. Rickmansworth is home to the famous Moor Park golf course which includes a spectacular mansion as the club house. It is here that the infamous Battle of Arnhem was planned [as depicted in 'A Bridge Too Far'] in what is now known as the Arnhem Room.  The room is home to the Parachute Regiment's memorabilia, who were much involved in the battle.
