RSPB Titchwell Marsh Nature Reserve

Printer friendly version >

Open throughout the year, this popular reserve offers something for everyone and often has themed events. A walk from the visitor centre down to the sandy beach takes visitors past reedbeds and shallow lagoons often full of birdlife. There are benches and spacious, wheelchair-accessible hides on route. Titchwell Marsh offers a transitory home to thousands of migratory birds. In summer, marsh harriers float over the reeds, where bearded tits nest. On the lagoons are avocets, gulls and terns. In autumn and winter there are up to 20 species of wading bird, plus there are a lot of ducks and geese overwintering here. There is a shop with a wide range of RSPB gifts and books and bird watching equipment plus a café selling hot and cold food.
