This is an interesting church which was not built as a parish church but as a collegiate church in the 14th century. The founder was Edmund Gonville and it is linked with Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. The original college caught fire and has been replaced and is now a private home but this would have been where the monks worked. One monk used to live in the church itself. The church is only open the first Sunday of each month for a 9am service and on special occasions.
