Maintained in the style of Edward and Alexandra, Prince and Princess of Wales (later King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra), the main ground floor rooms used by The Royal Family are open to the public. The Ballroom displays different exhibitions each year showing part of the collections in the private rooms not normally accessible to visitors. Family possessions are also displayed in the stables and coach houses. The sixty-acre gardens are delightful. The formal planting of the Edwardian age has resulted in sweeping glades, bordered by trees and shrubs and both formal and informal gardens. There is a free land train from the entrance for those visitors less able to walk through the gardens.
