This grade 1 listed building dates from 11th century and is built on a Saxon site with Hertfordshire Puddingstone and flint. The Church is floodlit and includes a tower with eight tower bells and a Harrision and Harrison organ. A list of monuments and gravestones is available and tours can be arranged. Features of interest include: Christopher Webbe’s East Window which includes a panel showing the 8th century King Offa holding a Saxon Church; an 11th century Norman window in the south aisle; a 15th century decorated oak ceiling in the nave; painted oak Lady Chapel screen; and the upper tower, diagonal buttresses and stair turret.
