This appeared as a library in the first series of Kingdom when they were researching land ownership and looking at old maps. The crew particularly liked the traditional old service counter but the library has now been refurbished and this has been replaced. Part time opening, situated on The Pightle, just off Market Place in Swaffham which is a charming historic market town with a triangular shaped market place, handsome Georgian buildings such as the Assembly Rooms and an 18th-century buttercross. The 15th-century church, one of the finest in the region, has a double hammerbeam angel roof and memorial to the famous Pedlar of Swaffham.
