The grade II listed Three Compasses in Aldenham is a family friendly pub and restaurant with a variety of fresh food on the menu. They also serve continental lagers, local beers and fresh fruit smoothies. Dating from the 18th Century, The Three Compasses has retained its timber beams and open fires. The pub stands on Patchetts Green which also dates from the 11th Century. An alehouse has stood by the Green for almost as long and was reputedly visited in the 17th Century by Cromwell's men and by the infamous highwayman Dick Turpin in the 18th Century!
The 175 acre woodland and parkland Aldenham Country Park, with its rare breeds and Winnie the Pooh Trail is nearby.
