Wall Hall, Aldenham (not accessible)

Printer friendly version >

The remarkable grade II listed Wall Hall Mansion in the picturesque historic village of Aldenham can be traced back to 1621 and has an interesting history. It was even occupied by the Kennedy family during World War II when they were evacuated from the American Embassy in London. The site became neglected after the war, was used as a teacher training college and has recently been restored and subsequently converted into 7 magnificent apartments. The mansion is set within 55 acres of historic parkland with its own private gymnasium and tennis court. Whilst not accessible to the public, the quaint very rural village of Aldenham is well worth a visit, as is the nearby Aldenham Country Park.
