Tring Reservoirs are made up of four individual reservoirs: Wilstone, Marsworth, Startops and Tringford. Each have a different character attracting all kinds of wildlife and are recognised as one of the best sites in the East of England for wintering wildfowl. The reed beds hold breeding warblers and Reed Buntings in the summer and Wilstone has one of the largest heronries in Hertfordshire. The area around the reservoirs is rich in canal heritage with numerous locks and colourful narrow boats and there is a network of footpaths and canal towpaths.
