Printer friendly version >

First built in 1643 Wimpole Hall is a magnificent country house set in 2,500 acres of landscaped parkland, complete with Gothic tower, Chinese bridge, woodland and lakes. There are a variety of walks through the Repton and 'Capability' Brown landscape. The Estate is also the grandest working estate in Cambridgeshire. There is a working Walled Kitchen Garden, parterre and Pleasure Grounds and the Home Farm, which is a working farm home to many rare breeds. Wimpole Hall itself has beautiful Georgian interiors by Gibbs, Thornhill and Soane and fascinating servants' rooms in the basements.
