The castle site in the centre of Wisbech’s The Georgian Crescent has been occupied since the Norman Conquest. The present castle was built in 1816 and is predominantly Regency in style. The gate piers survive from the 17th century and stand as attractive features around The Crescent. Guided tours are available through the house and the secluded gardens which can also be hired for events.
