Printer friendly version >

Blow's Downs is a nature reserve and well known birdwatching site, particularly renowned for the regular appearance of Ring Ouzel on spring passage. The reserve lies on the steep northern face of chalk, a remnant of the chalk grassland that once covered the slopes of the Chilterns. It offers a variety of habitats to resident and migratory birdlife as well as local wildlife. The reserve is best visited by birdwatchers from early to mid morning. After that time the area is enjoyed by walkers.
