Essex Boys
Printer friendly version >
This story was inspired by a single true event that occurred in Essex, but the characters and dialogue are fictional and do not reflect real people or events. The magnificent rural and coastal landscapes of Essex and Southend's nightclubs and amusement arcades form the backdrop for Billy Reynold’s (Charlie Creed-Miles) account of a series of events which were to change his life and perhaps not for the better. It all begins when Billy, who is stuck in a dead end job, is asked by Mr D, also known as John Dyke (Tom Wilkinson), to drive an old friend around for a day.

Release / Airing: 14/07/2000
