The BBC’s BAFTA and Golden Globe winning British sitcom, Extras was created by Ricky Gervais and reflects the ups and downs of Andy Millman's (Gervais) career as a bit part actor and sitcom writer. It follows Gervais’ success with The Office and had many celebrities keen to appear as star guests in each of the episodes. Cast members have therefore included Ben Stiller, Ross Kemp, Kate Winslet, Samuel L Jackson, Orlando Bloom, Daniel Radcliffe, Sir Ian McKellen and Robert De Niro amongst many others. Extras was well received by audiences in both the UK and the US and ran for 13 episodes; it is unlikely there will be another series.
