Directed by Jerry Zucker, who had previously directed the Academy Award-nominated Ghost, this romantic adventure drama is based on the King Arthur legend. With a budget of $75 million the film only grossed $128 million worldwide; it had mixed reviews. Whilst much of the film was shot on location in Wales a number of locations in Hertfordshire were used.
