Starring Sigourney Weaver as Dr Lauren Slaughter, this erotic thriller was written by Edward Behr and Bob Swain with direction from Bob Swaim. It was adapted from the novel by Paul Theroux entitled Dr Slaughter. The plot has Dr Slaughter as a frustrated American researcher at the Arab-Anglo Institute in London who decides to supplement her income by working as a British escort. She meets a senior diplomat, Lord Sam Bulbeck (Michael Caine) who is attempting to broker a peace deal between the Arabs and Israelis and becomes embroiled in violent political intrigue. Patrick Kavanagh plays General Sir George Newhouse.
