Created by author Sidney Sheldon this popular TV series had a total of 110 episodes over 5 seasons and was produced for American television from 1979 to 1984. Each episode had an individual storyline with Jonathan Hart (Robert Wagner), a self-made millionaire and his wife, Jennifer (Stephanie Powers), a journalist, playing amateur detectives. The couple were helped by butler, Max (Lionel Stander) and other members of their staff in their activities. Whilst largely filmed on location in the US, the series did come to the UK for a number of episodes. In the one entitled Harts and Hounds released in 1983 Jonathan and Jennifer Hart, along with Max, visit the manor of Sir William (Gordon Jackson) and Lady Claire (Hazel McBride) Belgrave for the Belgrave Hunt.
