Simon Wheeler's Kingdom series 3 returned to the screen with Stephen Fry in the leading role as Peter Kingdom, an affable country solicitor. Shot once again on location in Norfolk in and around Swaffham (Market Shipborough) and Holkam Beach, Peter is again beset by problems not least of which is his sister Beatrice (Hermione Norris) who wishes to rediscover her sexuality after becoming a mum and a health scare of his own. Series 3 introduces Lyle’s (Karl Davies) love interest, Emily (Kate O’Flynn), and shows the true beauty of the Norfolk landscape throughout. In particular episode 2 sees the emergency of crop circles at a local farm and Peter takes a flight in a balloon with Norfolk’s vast open skies and beautiful countryside as a magnificent backdrop to the scenes.
